- The Silent Service: The Tang's Last Shot (1957) [Murph]: Killed (off-screen) when the submarine vessel he was on was sank by it's own torpedo that boomeranged and struck the aft end. Of the nine survivors of the SS Tang none were named Murph or Murphy.
