Campbell Scott in Manhattan Night

Campbell Scott (1961 -)

Film Deaths[]

  • Dying Young (1991) [Victor Geddes]: Presumably dies of Leukemia sometimes after the film ends. The final scene tells him he will continue to fight the leukemia with Julia Roberts at his side after Julia tells Campbell she loves him, which is indicated he would survive. (As we don't know whether he is cured or dies from his leukemia, I am just listing this just in case.)
  • The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) [Richard Parker]: Killed in a plane crash (off-screen), along with Embeth Davidtz.
  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) [Richard Parker]: In an opening flashback that expands upon his fate (see above), he dies (off-screen) when his plane crashes after Bill Heck kills the pilot. We last see him watching his wife (Embeth Davidtz) pass away from her injuries as the plane dives. A deleted scene towards the end of the film reveals that he is alive (that he presumably survived the crash and went into hiding for several years) as he visits his son (Andrew Garfield) in the cemetery in an emotional reunion, confessing his reason for abandoning Andrew as a child. (In this case, the status of his character probably varies as to whether he is alive or deceased. I'll leave it up to Spider-Man fans to decide.)
  • Manhattan Night (2016) [Simon Crowley]: Stabbed in the neck with a shard of jade by his wife (Yvonne Strahovski) in an abandoned building, after he psychologically tortures her in an attempt to force her to recount her childhood trauma. Shown in a flashback when Adrien Brody watches the footage from a hidden camera that Campbell had set up.
  • Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) [Dr. Lewis Dodgson]: Paralyzed by venom and devoured (off-screen) by Dilophosauruses when they trap in him hyperloop car.

TV Deaths[]

  • The Love Letter (1998) [Colonel Caleb Denby/Scott Corrigan]: Shot in the Civil war of Gettysburg, dies shortly after in Jennifer Jason Leigh's arms. Playing a dual role, Scott survives the movie.
  • Final Days of Planet Earth (2006) [William Phillips]: Sacrifices himself by triggering off a grenade (which burns the whole area due to flammable air) to destroy most of the alien insectoids and their nest.
