Kenneth Mars (1935 - 2011)

Film Deaths[]

  • Steambath (1973) [Broker]: Dies (off-screen) of the heart attack, shorty before begins; the story takes place in a steambath whichs turns out to be the afterlife.
  • Yellowbeard (1983) [Mr. Crisp/Verdugo]: Playing a dual role, "Mr. Crisp" is drowned when Graham Chapman drops him overboard, after holding him over the edge of the deck by his nostrils. ("Verdugo" survives the movie.) (Played for comic effect.) (Thanks to Anton and Tommy)
  • The Adventures of the American Rabbit (1986) [Walt/Vultor (voice)]: Gets plunged to his death in the snow after he made one last attempt to kill the American Rabbit by diving at him.
  • The Little Mermaid (1989) [King Triton]: Voicing this king in the movie, he transforms into a (dying) polyp after giving up his trident to Ursula (voiced by Pat Carroll) to save the life of his daughter, Ariel (voiced by Jodi Benson). (Not a death really, but he is eventually brought back to life after Ursula dies of electrocution anyway.)
  • We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story (1993; animated) [Professor Screweyes (voice)]: Devoured by crows; the crows cover his body entirely, then leave only his artifical eye behind when they fly away. (Thanks to Anton and Tommy)

TV Deaths[]

Video Game Deaths[]

  • Fallout (1997) [Overseer Jacoren]: He can be killed by the player character, or die in two of the game's endings; (1) he dies of dehydration if the player doesn't get the water chip in time; (2) he is beaten to death by super mutants if the player chooses to side with them and reveal the location of the vault; he survives the game if all of these fates are avoided.
  • Fallout 2 (1998) [Overseer Jacoren]: Executed several years before the events of the game by the residents of Vault 13 after exiling the Vault Dweller.
