Ralph Waite in The Grissom Gang

Ralph Waite (1928 - 2014)

Film Deaths:Edit

  • The Grissom Gang (1971) [Mace]: Machine-gunned by police during a shoot-out at the gang's hideout.
  • Chato's Land (1972) [Elias Hooker]: Killed by a rattlesnake thrown at him by Charles Bronson.
  • Trouble Man (1972) [Pete Cockrell]: Shot to death by Robert Hooks in Ralph's bedroom. (I haven't seen this movie, but have read its summary in the book The Fifty Worst Films of All Time.)
  • Crash and Burn (1990) [Lathan Hooks]: Falls to his death when the android Bill Moseley knocks him over the scaffolding, then steps on Ralph's hands to make him lose his grip. His body is shown again later on when Megan Ward discovers him.

TV Deaths:Edit

  • NCIS: Honor Thy Father (2014) [Jackson Gibbs]: Dies (off-screen) of a stroke. (Although this episode was made 3 months after Waite's actual death, his appearances from previous episodes makes it count)
