- That Hagen Girl (1947) [Mary Hagen]: Playing "Juliet" in a play-within-the-film performance of Romeo and Juliet, she commits suicide off-screen by stabbing herself. As she delivers her final speech and prepares to kill herself, the movie skips to the end of the play by dissolving to a shot of the play's pages turning; her body is shown lying on the stage when it dissolves back to the end of the play. (She survives the movie in reality.)
