- Hell is For Heroes (1962) [Reese]: Killed in an explosion when he sacrifices himself by blowing up a German pillbox.
- The War Lover (1962) [Buzz Rickson]: Killed in a plane crash while trying to fly his damaged plane back to England.
- The Sand Pebbles (1966) [Jake Holman]: Shot by Chinese nationalists as he tries to get back to his ship.
- Tom Horn (1980) [Tom Horn]: Executed by hanging.
